In our test of how it cleaned baking soda near corners and on baseboards, the Scout RX3 was impressive. Its suction was less powerful than other robots but it was still very quiet and moved quickly. It's also a bit sporadic when it comes back to the charging station following the course. Other robots can follow the wall or trace an earlier route, but the RX3 is a mess until it gives up.
We also had issues with the intelligent features of the device, namely its mapping feature as well as digital stay-out zones. While it did a good job of avoiding our furniture legs and shoes but it could easily be hung up by cables and socks and was unable to handle the tassels that adorn rug. That's the reason we didn't choose to include it on our Best Buy list. The Scout RX3 offers a good price and a dazzling performance.
